Job Description

We are looking for a Territory Manager to join our team to cover our customers based in Scotland & Northern Ireland. You'll be responsible for growing business with new and existing accounts by successfully driving a highly sophisticated hospital sale from introduction of a new screening and diagnostic concepts through to closure and implementation, working with physicians, laboratory, infection control, Quality Assurance and executive staff members to identify needs, gain consensus, and close new assay and instrumentation business as rapidly as possible. To enable you to cover your territory effectively you will ideally live anywhere from Newcastle upwards, and be out visiting customers on the road 80% of your time. What the role involves: * Responsible for managing and growing business in existing and new Cepheid accounts * Expands menu utilization in existing accounts * Sells additional instrumentation to customers * Negotiates and manages contracts * Introduces new testing concepts and products * Develops demand for and adoption of new assays * Develops and implements customer-specific action plans * Works closely with Field Application Specialist, Strategic Market Development Manager & Sales Director to develop sales strategies * Develops and delivers presentations and proposals * Hosts and assists with product shows * Manages customer data in the company database * Achieves sales goals What we need you to have: * Bachelor's degree in (medical) science * Strong track record of sales success, specifically in selling a premium product * Expertise with demand creation and multi-departmental hospital sales * Experience with customer base within territory is a plus * Strengths in networking and relationship development * Strong oral and written communications skills * Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications * Skilled using a CRM applications such as Sales Force DC Interested?
