RAN Upgrade Programme Manager
Overview
My telecommunication client is recruiting for a Programme Manager to join their team in Reading ASAP. The role is INSIDE IR35 and the contract will be 6 months in duration initially, with extensions expected. Purpose of this Position To manage the overall planning and reporting of the Radio Access Network (RAN) and Access Transport (AT) deployment programme. Key objectives include measuring progress against plans, holding all parties to account, and maximising alignment between AT and RAN delivery Key responsibilities: Working with stakeholders, develop and maintain baseline plans. Ensure that adequate configuration management controls are in place to track and communicate changes to site/ access transport designs Ensure that delivery processes are modelled and tracked within client's system and other tracking databases. This will include activities owned by other vendors. Ensure that RAN and AT release management and delivery processes are designed to maximise the alignment between 5G RAN and 10G AT delivery, taking into account transmission delivery timescales and the management of uncertainty within the site acquisition process Develop programme reporting standards which provide clarity on actual progress vs. plans and flag issues and risks. This will include detailed analysis of problems, ensuring that the delivery teams capture data that can be used to generate meaningful and actionable management information. Present progress reports to senior stakeholders. This will include pointing out weaknesses within their own delivery organisation/ delivery partners and as such will require the ability to manage conflict between multiple stakeholders Qualifications Appropriate qualifications in Project/ Programme Management Thorough understanding of RAN and AT network design, planning & deployment Strong written and verbal communication skills.
