Caljan Ltd provides, installs and maintains a wide range of mechanical handling and automation equipment to the parcel, postal and logistics sector, which is currently experiencing record growth through the rise of e-commerce. Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, and covering the whole of the UK and Ireland, Caljan Ltd supports many of the UK’s major parcel carriers, employing an experienced team of more than 100 people nationally. Due to continued growth of our projects and installations work, we are looking to recruit a Project Administrator to join our Projects team. Location: Based in our UK HQ office in Milton Keynes Reporting to: Senior Manager, Solutions & Projects Primary Responsibilities: Administer all project tasks across the Projects Department working closely with Project Managers. Order entry onto the company ERP system. Purchasing. Parts management, to ensure all parts and other item costs are captured correctly and booked to the correct project. Project handover administration for Project Managers. Raising and managing technical orders with suppliers. Project stock audit and stock management. Essential: Engineering background and qualification (ONC or higher). Previous experience working in a fast paced customer facing department. Organized, methodical, high attention to detail, proactive with a sense of urgency. Experience of working in an administrative background. Experience of MS Office, particularly Excel. Demonstrable ability to multi task prioritise workload and work on own initiative. Ability to work with a diverse range of people. Desirable: Knowledge of an ERP system / service management system. Previous experience working in a project environment. Experience of working with Risk assessments / method statements. Customer handling skills and experience - suggest this is essential. Prior experience and knowledge of material handling systems / postal / logistics industry. Experience of interaction with directors, sub-contractors, suppliers and clients. Willing to travel to site.
