Overview

We are looking for a Training Manager to join a local charity based in Manchester. The charity is dedicated to supporting people and children. They support over 200 people each year. They have residential services, community services, home care and clubs that run on weekends and evenings. They love to help people live a happy and exciting life and they make their mark on the world As a charity they aim to be inspiring, educating, problem solving and welcoming to change The job of a Training Manager is to provide support to the management team by focusing on the training and development of staff and teams. You will be involved in the training of staff at all levels. You will have knowledge of relevant legislation and local policies and procedures and have an understanding of adult learning. You will be providing internal training to staff covering the following Moving and handling Epilepsy First Aid Medication Administration Safeguarding of Adults and/or Children Physical Intervention Autism Dignity in Care Other training topics as required You will identify other potential training needs and manage the upkeep of electronic training database. For this role you will need to have a Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Ideally have a qualification in PTTLS OR AET (Award in Education Training). You will need to have at least 2 years experience working in a similar role and ideally this would be in a health care setting. You will need to have "Train a trainer" training or be willing to work towards this. This is a PART TIME ROLE - 25 hours a week and the salary will be £25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience (Pro Rota).
