Overview

Data Analyst Preston Job, £22,000 - £25,000 p/a, Full Time, On Call, 31 days holiday and your birthday off. Your new company You will be working for a large and growing company who specialise in fuel. This company provides a 24-hour fuel monitoring service which helps clients to identify discrepancies, possible issues such as fuel theft, faults and maintenance issues. This can ultimate save the clients' money and time. Your new role You will be working as a Data Analyst in Preston. This role will require you to be on the telephone for the vast majority of your time. Duties and responsibilities will be as follows: Analysing fuel data from a variety of sites and ensuring that this is up to date. Responding to any activated alarms systems and investigating the issue, reaching a conclusion and resolution. Monitor incorrect fuel deliveries and identify possible causes for incorrect deliveries or not delivering on time. This is to help the team keep in their targets and SLA's. Conducting daily reports to identify discrepancies in data and issues. Liaising on the telephone and email with all sites, providing technical support and providing fuel data. Responding to and escalating any queries. Completing weekly Incident Reports and investigating any "fails", reaching a conclusion and resolution. Amending data and inputting data for each site. Developing business with new and existing fuel sites. Ad-hoc work administration work. You will be on call 1 week/end out of 4. The hours you must be available are Monday to Friday 17:00-22:00 and occasionally weekends. You may on occasion be asked to work late on-call shift which is 22:00 - 08:00 but this again is on a rota basis. A reward of £350 is provided for each on call week that you do. What you'll need to succeed To succeed you need an incredibly strong attention to detail and you must be able to make sense of numbers - to a high level. You must be analytical and be able to communicate technical information in a simplified format. You will be liaising with a variety of clients from a variety of sites, so you must be able to confidentially communicate with all demographics and cultures. You must be proficient on Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with LINUX is desired but by no means essential.
