Senior IT Business Analyst - £44,632 per annum Your new company Southend Borough Council is a unitary authority based in the heart of the town centre offering traditional seaside living that makes it a great place to live and work. The Council are looking to appoint a self-starting, motivated and experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to enhance the quality of IT products and services. Your new role This is an exciting opportunity to join Southend Borough Council as Senior IT Business Analyst to deliver new and innovative products and services to residents and visitors of the Borough. Your role is critical in understanding business needs and delivering that through applications. You will be proactive in approach and understand existing and future business requirements to create technology and data enabled solutions to streamline and enrich the customer experience. You will be required to deliver elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules and wireframes. You will be confident in supporting system testing, providing inputs around requirements and helping validate 'before' and 'after' results from the changing system. What you'll need to succeed To be successful you will embody a customer centric approach and have a focused attitude on solving business and user needs. You need agile experience and strategic agility in delivering previous products that have supported business needs towards a strategic vision. You will have extensive experience of the entire SDLC from requirements definition through to closure where you have demonstrated a good understanding of Use Cases, User Stories, Business Process Mapping/Modelling, Business Process Re-Engineering and Change Management.
