Overview
Job Description We are looking for an experienced or aspiring Engineer/Technician to support the Principal Engineer and work as part of a team responsible for inspection, maintenance and asset management planning for all bridges, culverts and retaining walls. Qualified to HNC/HND/BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent, ideally you will have experience in bridge inspection, construction and maintenance techniques. Customer focussed with excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills you will also have knowledge and understanding of CDM regulations. A Full current driving licence is also essential. This post is part of a Career Development Scheme. Opportunity for future advancement may be available. This post is currently based in Banff but could be based in Banff or Inverurie. This post has responsibility for and required to drive Aberdeenshire Council vehicles. The preferred candidate will be required to produce a current, valid driving licence. An offer of employment by Aberdeenshire Council will be subject to the outcome of this check being satisfactory. The preferred candidate will also be required to produce their licence, on request, at periodic intervals. Should the employeeâs driving licence be withdrawn, for whatever reason, it may be necessary to terminate the employeeâs appointment.
