Events and Marketing Organiser - Equate Scotland - Part Time - Fixed Term contract until June 2021. 21.75 hours per week Equate Scotland is the national expert organisation on women's under-representation in science, engineering, technology and the built environment. We are hosted by and partner with Edinburgh Napier University. We are based in the heart of Edinburgh city centre in the Edinburgh Napier University Craiglockhart campus. We work with industry, academia, the Scottish Government and public bodies to make tangible and sustainable change, enabling more women to study and work in these key sectors. You will be joining a proactive team, dedicated to the cause of women's social and economic equality. The role We are looking for a Marketing and Events Organiser to join our team for 3 days/21.75 hours per week on a fixed term contract. You will work with the Project Administrator and organise our events from planning stage including venue sourcing, catering and print requirements. You will provide administrative and marketing support for Equate Scotland workshops and conferences, designing marketing materials for online media and leaflets. Who we are looking for This role is ideal for someone with a proactive and organised approach, who has experience in planning and organising events end to end. You will have an eye for detail and be able to manage your time effectively. Accurate data inputting following all events is required, including monitoring forms, evaluation forms and any other records relating to reporting targets. You will manage our online event registration system and (where necessary) attend events. Applicants must demonstrate: Experience in Event planning and organisation, evidencing their experience in liaising with a range of external suppliers, event speakers and trainers. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own time effectively and prioritise tasks whilst working to deadlines. Excellent team working The ideal candidate would also have a working knowledge of how to operate InDesign and/or other design applications (or be willing to be trained) with experience in designing marketing materials.
