Overview
Job Title: Private cook Salary: £27,000, Mon - Fri Location: Central London Who will you be working for? A VIP private residence based in Central London. You’ll work closely with the rest of the housekeeping team to ensure daily meals are cooked to the specifications of the principals, as well as catering for any other family member and guests as necessary. You will also be required to cater for small private dinner functions and events, so knowledge of plating to a high standard is necessary. What are we looking for? An experienced Chef who has ideally worked within private households in the past, so is comfortable catering to last minute requests and variety of dietary requirements. You’ll need to possess a formal City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in addition to having a hardworking yet friendly and positive nature. The role is mostly Mon – Fri, but some weekends and evenings may be necessary depending on needs of the family. Their ideal Chef should: Be a chef with professional kitchen experience, ideally have worked for a private household in the past Be proficient in a range of cuisines to a fine dining standard Have an excellent handle on all health & hygiene procedures Have a “can do” , positive and professional attitude Possess excellent timekeeping skills, and able to work confidently alone or as part of a close team Does this sound like you?
