The Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer with drive and enthusiasm to join Europe’s number one missile system provider, developing solutions for the next generation of complex weapons and weapon systems. What are we looking for? Ideally Degree/HND/HNC qualified with a significant track record of mechanical design and development in industry (ideally in Aerospace/Defence) You will have experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team with the awareness and understanding of the challenges that this may bring. Awareness of common design development techniques such as DFMEA, DFA, DFM. Strong communication skills and an awareness of cultural differences You will have a willing, helpful attitude, a calm professional manner and the ability to multi-task on a daily basis An awareness of structural/thermal/dynamic analysis would be advantageous. Relevant 3D CAD/CAE experience (training on our preferred CAE tools will be given) What’s in it for you? The Role You will support Design, Development and Proving activities, throughout the product lifecycle, for a wide range of missile system hardware. You will be supported with the use of state of the art engineering tools and MBDA’s extensive in house facilities and capabilities. You will, with the support of a network of highly skilled and experienced engineers, develop your skills and knowledge to evolve into the next generation of engineering specialist What’s great about the team?
