Role: Lead/ Principal Mechanical Engineer Salary: Will consider applications up to £50k Location: Stevenage Sector: Defence An exciting opportunity to join a growing mechanical team at a leading defence organisation has become available. You will be involved in the full range of products and across the full product life cycle and is a great opportunity for someone wanting a unique challenge and to develop their career. The Role: The role is responsible for the technical management of the product mechanical requirements, design proving, requirement/environmental verification and validation. You will will have responsibility for managing areas such as thermal interfaces, physical interfaces, and the generation/use of performance models Activities below will give you an insight into the role: Generation of mechanical DVP and generation of equipment Design Verification Plans from supplier documentation. Generation of design assessment and compliance matrix for mechanical requirements). Maturation of Pneumatic performance model and support dynamic release model development. Conduct Mechanical and System DFMEA for product development. Supporting EMC verification and validation, aircraft integration and integration data pack generation Supporting manufacture process and issue resolution, and design reviews. Requirements: Experience in full lifecycle of complex technical Projects Experience liaising across multi-disciplinary teams Excellent Communication Ability to gain SC Clearance, potentially the need for DV clearance for certain projects Benefits Competitive salary Flexible working Bonus (Up to 10%) Pension scheme and many more.
