Data Analyst - Aberdeen Salary – £40k - £60k Pension Life Assurance Healthcare 33days Holidays Other benefits The Client Our client is a leading provider of data science and predictive analysis services for the oil and gas industry. The company work closely with oil and gas operating companies as a remote extension of their asset teams; helping them to solve complex problems, improve efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate risks by making better use of their operational data. The Role The Data Analyst: Process is the focal point for the deployment of the company's Service for an asset or group of assets. Internally, they are responsible for ensuring the operational interfaces between the Data Scientists who execute the daily analysis and the Engineering Support team who provide subject matter expertise work efficiently. Further, they utilize their background in Chemical / Process engineering to support the business from a technical perspective. They are responsible for preparing the operational interfaces with the Client and escalating to the Senior Data Analyst for communication with the Client Operational Focal point, including X-Track management, Insights completion and any requests for additional work. Responsibilities and Duties Ensure the company service quality is maintained through: Continued high quality of recommendations within X-Track submissions Efficiency of delivery of daily analysis Risk management of model defects and enhancements Facilitate efficient internal interfaces by: Acting as focal point for Data Scientists to raise excursions through daily analysis Bringing in the relevant subject matter expertise to validate findings and develop recommendations where required Manage external relationships Maintain priority and action dates for all relevant X-Track items in line with Client priorities and expectations Complete scorecard entries to reflect value of service Provide engineering support to the business Provide process engineering (and process control support) during daily operations Identify opportunities for continuously improving plant safety, operability, efficiency or profitability Provide technical mentoring to non-core discipline engineers Provide appropriate process engineering input to operational activities undertaken by other inter-discipline engineering within project team Qualifications Graduate Engineer in Chemical, Process or equivalent 3 years of experience working within an oil and gas facilities management team Workplace process engineering Knowledge of process related standards Experience in process simulations A good track record of operational support to onshore and offshore assets Skills MS Office 365 Suite of products. Developing and delivering training Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills (people and technical) Oral and written communication skills including people with English as a second language Time management skills Report development Disposition Ability to work independently on own initiative and to contribute as part of a team Willingness and ability to be flexible. Ability to get on well with a wide variety of people. Patient and able to cover the same issue with different people. Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks. Able to use initiative effectively. Accurate and pays attention to detail. High energy, “can-do” attitude.
