Overview

To identify, plan and develop new relationships by promoting the firm’s full range of capabilities. This will involve presenting to clients and to a variety of audiences as a representative of Company and /or an independent investment professional. The successful candidate will be able to bring a significant level of investable assets to the business and will be expected to grow Company China Desk’s book. Key duties Have a strong existing book of institutional and private clients which is transferable and/or a viable business plan to grow Company China Desk business; Prospect new buy-side client opportunities through a deep understanding of client requirements; Generate leads through established channels as well as prospecting through direct marketing; Provide financial solutions to meet client needs and offer a range of services to address clients' requirements; Ensure conformity with global and market standards of service, regulatory compliance and front-office procedures; Actively promote the Company brand, introducing all relevant services to clients; Work closely with the Asset Management and Trading desks; Liaising with clients to communicate the company’s, AML and on-boarding requirements and procedures including distribution, explanation and full or partial completion of any relevant on-boarding documentation (forms, agreements, etc); Collection of any applicable supporting documentation/KYC and management of any such information/documentation; Business trips to Asia when required to meet clients and intermediaries. Other duties Dealing with ad hoc translation/notarisation/apostille requests; Acting as main point of contact for clients for daily queries or requests (e.g. company Portal, valuations, payments, trades, static data changes) when needed; Assisting preparation of client pitches and presentations; Other duties as required Requirements At least 2 years’ experience in private banking or wealth management is desirable; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Due to the nature of the job, fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese is a must; Strong knowledge of regulations, financial market, customer behaviour in both UK and China; CISI Level 4 IAD equivalent is desirable; Ideal candidate will be flexible, driven and able to thrive in a team environment.
