Position: Field Service Engineer - Plate Heat Exchangers Location: London & Home Counties Salary Guide: £35,000 plus 5% Bonus, Car and Excellent Package Our client develops, manufactures and sells innovative products and world-class technical solutions for heat transfer, cooling, separation and fluid handling. Their products include heat exchanges, separators, centrifuges, pumping systems and valves. They employ approximately 16,000 staff in more than 50 countries covering over 100 markets. Job description: The team of Field Service Engineers are on the front line of customer support, carrying out servicing and maintenance of their equipment and associated products. The Field Service Engineers must ensure a high quality service to customers at all times. You will work on their thermal products, mainly on Plate Heat Exchangers and Evaporators at their customer's sites. You will be based in the M4/M40 region between covering London and the Home Counties. This is a home based job attending customer sites on a daily basis, or at times for longer periods, including overnight stays as required. You will also be expected to participate in the 24 hour call out system and be available to work some weekends. Your duties will include: Commissioning of new equipment, servicing, inspecting and fault finding on new or existing thermal equipment. Reading plate specification drawings to ensure correct assembly. Performing site audits to ensure our equipment is performing to its optimum level. Working with the sales team on equipment audits on customer sites to generate new business. Meeting KPIs for the service team in areas such as submission of service expenses. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of a background in Mechanical maintenance which may have been gained within a Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration, HVAC, production environment or similar field based role. You will be self-motivated, details orientated and numerate. You will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, good organisation and planning and enjoy working alone. Candidates must be able to spend several nights away from home as required and have a good level of physical fitness. A full, clean driving licence is also essential.
