Apply Now Your new company Hays Social Care are excited to be working with an innovative provider of personalised day support for Adults with a range of learning disabilities, including mild to moderate learning disabilities, physical health needs as well as high functioning autism and Asperger's. The provider have been operating since 1994 and their primary objective is help people with disabilities to achieve the best possible outcomes in life. Your new role The role of the manager is to provide leadership, development and direction, ensuring that the team provides the people we support within the service with the support they need to lead a good life and achieve the things that are important to them and their families. You will be involved in all areas of people management, setting expectations and monitoring performance, providing One to One meetings and annual reviews to ensure staff are demonstrating the skills and attitudes needed, maintaining their motivation and development by working alongside staff, role modelling good practice, coaching and mentoring. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed you will have the following experience: Experience of key/link working with individuals and of enabling people with learning disabilities to take positive risks in the their lives. Experience of mentoring/supervising/coaching others Experience of building great relationships which promotes inclusion for people with learning disabilities Person centred working & developing person centred support plans with individuals You will understand the challenges that are likely to be faced by many people with disabilities Have a sound understanding and knowledge of safeguarding Be a proactive learning - someone keen to learn new and better ways to do things Someone who learns from mistake and is open to feedback Be receptive and demonstrate a commitment to relevant training Ideally you will hold a management qualification or relevant qualification in Social Care (Level 4 or 5) As a minimum you will already hold the position as a deputy manager What you'll get in return In return you will receive an excellent salary of £14.00 per hour raising to £15.39 after a successful four month probation (£27,300 - £30,010.50 per annum).
