Overview

Applications Analyst / Applications Support Analyst required by a large financial services company to provide specialist help to ensure appropriate support, maintenance, development and security of Microsoft based client communication systems and associated services. You will need to have a relevant Degree, ideally in Computer Science, an MCP in SQL Server or equivalent and ITIL V3 or ITIL V4. In addition you will need the following experience: Business application support and management. Microsoft SQL Server 2012/14/16 (querying databases via T-SQL). Software transition and release management. Vendor management. Server management in an enterprise environment. Windows Server 2012 / 2016. A minimum of 2 years proven experience in application support. Proven experience in administering services within relevant control frameworks in a Financial Services organisation. Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management skills. Can demonstrate a results -orientated approach, with a strong history of delivery. Presenting/communication at manager level and associate influencing experience. Vendor/3rd Party Management. Proven experience in software transition, service introduction & release management. ITIL Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations and Continual Service Improvements. Cyber security essentials and GDPR awareness. The following experience is desirable but not essential: Microsoft Office software integration. AWS Experience. Windows Server 2012. Client Reporting Solutions. PowerShell scripting. Workflow based applications. Data Integration and reporting. Financial services/Investment Management experience. Apache Tomcat. Apache HTTPD. IIS. OpenSSL, PKI, Ciphers. Web security. Hyper-V.
