The day job To maintain and support the ITSM solution, BMC Remedy 9.1, within the customer environment, providing advice and guidance on its use and further development. Work with a minimum of supervision, demonstrating a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach. Work within established processes, procedures and guidance, with minimum day-to-day supervision, to provide a range of support services to an agreed standard or specification. Work with BMC Atrium Integrator and be able to deploy and debug jobs provided by the client. Experience implementing, upgrade and/or configuring ITSM tools (particularly BMC Remedy) is a requirement. Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for allocated calls and own until a satisfactory conclusion or escalate if appropriate. Provide effective communication both internally to the team and externally to users, suppliers and customers. Work on allocated tasks to agreed TOR. To be pro-active in initiating service and infrastructure improvements. Develop other team members by sharing technical/ application knowledge and experience. Maintain and develop knowledge, skill and competencies in agreed areas. Identify and correct problems in the resolution of faults. Carry out impact analysis of enhancement requests and specify changes required. Produce estimates for own work. Identify instances where change control is required. Report progress and issues to the team leader in a timely manner. In particular, to relay issued that might impact on quality or the ability to deliver to timescales or estimates. Carry out audits and participate in technical walk throughs of other team members' work. Essential Skills Implementation, upgrade and/or configuration of ITSM tools (preferably BMC Remedy) Experience of running requirements gathering workshops Knowledge of server technology; Windows and/or Linux Security Clearance You are required to hold, or obtain, SC Clearance to work in this position
