Cloud Operations Engineer

Our Information Services (IS) Team is currently undergoing a transformation which will enhance the services it delivers and ensure they are best positioned to play a proactive and value orientated role across our business. As part of this transformation we are recruiting for a number of new and exciting roles within our IS team. What will you be doing? To help us deliver exceptional IT services to our business, we are looking for a new Cloud Operations Engineer to provide a combination of effective Service Delivery partner governance and assurance and specific Cloud Infrastructure support activities. Taking a leading role with the maintenance and technical aspects of Cloud Infrastructure services, you'll be influential in ensuring the appropriate policies, processes and procedures are in place and operating effectively. Key responsibilities include: Support the Problem Management and Incident Management process by providing technical expertise and support to our Cloud Service Providers to ensure SLAs are met. Using Cloud Advisory services provide assurance that service assessments, such as capacity, availability, cost management and performance are being acted upon within a timely manner. Provide a Cloud On-Boarding Service facility for all projects ensuring Cloud services, processes and methods are fully understood to ensure a successful implementation. This will also include specific technical access and provisioning activities. Provide assurance of adherence to Cloud policies and processes. Work with the Cloud Technical Service Owner to assure service provider and supplier compliance with service obligations. Provide excellent customer engagement and support for Cloud Services and capability. Support the Cloud Release Management processes by working with the Release Advisory Board in relation to the assessment and introduction of new Cloud Infrastructure services. Provide support to the Platform Architects in defining Cloud strategic investment plans. Support and maintain a Telemetry physical infrastructure and domain whilst we move this to Azure cloud services in the next 12-18 months. What do you need? As our next Cloud Operations Engineer, we are looking for you to have significant experience in IT Service Management and IT End User Support to compliment your strong exposure to Cloud platforms & infrastructure with specific knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Activity Directory. With experience in Change and Release Management, you'll be comfortable managing a range of relationships internally and externally to meet SLAs and KPIs. Your strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and experience of supporting server, storage and network infrastructure services will allow you to offer a first- class customer service to your key stakeholders.
