Overview

Starboard Personnel Ltd are working alongside our prestigious well-established new client based in West Yorkshire. Our client is a world leader in the manufacture of safety equipment and pride themselves on a first-class service to all of its customers. Due to headcount increase our client is looking to recruit a full time Production Shift Supervisor to work to work full time continental shifts. The hours of work are 7am-7pm 4 days per week, on a rolling rotational shift pattern which includes nights. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis and will go permanent after 12 weeks for the right individual Working as Production shift Supervisor you will be working closely with the Production Shift Manager in the operation & performance of your team whilst on shift. Overall responsibilities: Ensuring that the team work to our client's H&S policy Maintaining 5S and ensuring that housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times Ensuring that all team members participate in housekeeping at the end of each shift Ensuring that internal and external time deliveries meet specified customer requirements Responsible for analysing customer returns, proposing corrective solutions end ensuring containment action Assessing any quality & production problems and solving where necessary Responsible for recording and analysing daily performance Ensuring that all members of the team are trained in line with our clients training process Responsible for recording daily performance Conducting regular audits Person specification: Previous experience within all areas of production Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings to check goods are manufactured correctly Measure components using ancillary gauges & equipment and interpres results and corrective actions as necessary Excellent understanding of our client's production standards and ensuring these are achieved Excellent written and verbal communication skills Keen to develop and undertake further training as required Rewards: Good base salary On-site parking Generous holiday entitlement Staff uniform Opportunity progress On-going training and development If you feel that you have the relevant skills and attributes required for this role, and would like to work for a forward thinking company, please forward your up to date CV for consideration.
