Overview
Consulting Associate Director We are searching for an experienced Consulting Associate Director Overall job purpose To profitably manage and develop a portfolio of regional and national consultancy clients, ensuring both excellent client service and making a significant contribution towards the overall future development and success of the faculty and firm. To lead teams undertaking a range of assignments, predominantly, but not exclusively, in the local economic development, regeneration and infrastructure sectors. Responsibilities To lead the development of successful tender responses, take part in formal presentations to prospective clients and deliver against annual team fee targets. To scope, design and take overall responsibility for projects, including coaching and supporting the team. To manage assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements, including ensuring the profitable recover-ability of work in progress, and to bill clients on a timely basis. To ensure service quality at all times. Assist with internal and external quality assurance, ensuring any actions are completed in line with the firm’s and professional standards. To brief staff on the client’s business and the pre-assignment instructions, to supervise and control the completion of work, and to undertake ‘on the job’ training and appraisals where necessary. To ensure that the job is completed within budget, and to discuss all significant points arising with the assignment partner and client immediately, particularly in relation to any anticipated overruns. To perform the firm’s review and completion procedures, to attend the final meeting with the client, and to ensure that the client subsequently receives the final report on a timely basis. To liaise with the client on an on-going basis and to practise the principles of excellent client service at all times. To build and maintain a strong internal network and awareness of the firm's services to ensure that all potential client needs are identified and serviced accordingly. To support partners and directors in the design and delivery of business development initiatives both as part of wider firm initiatives and for the consulting faculty. To maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses, and to fulfil relevant CPD requirements. To take an active involvement in prospective client seminars, and to effectively follow up contact made. Attend staff meetings and training as required. Maintain an awareness and observation of Health and Safety issues within the Firm, and report any concerns to the Health and Safety Representative. Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading, as requested by the line manager or Head of Department. A 2:1 degree (or equivalent) Client-side experience of sponsoring or managing complex projects An extensive knowledge of PRINCE2/MSP/P3O and the Axelos suite of best practice projects A passion for PMOs Sector experience of at least two of the following – central or local government, emergency services, energy, construction, infrastructure, TMT, financial services, transport Experienced hire Permanent LONDON - FARRINGDON STREET Consulting
