Overview
We currently have a permanent vacancy for an experienced Project Manager from an Automation or EC&I contractor background working within a highly regulated sector. Roles and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Engineering or manufacturing industry for a contractor/ EPC. Specifically, someone with automation, EC&I or large control panel experience. At least 5 years demonstrable experience operating at senior project manager level, under NEC 3 Conditions of Contract. You should be of a strong authoritative character capable of communicating (both verbally and written) at all levels, in a professional and controlled manner. Typical traits. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Effective communication skills. Strong commercial awareness. Strong leadership skills. Good decision maker. Inspires a shared vision. Team-building skills. Cool/calm under pressure. Ideally your experience should be within the contractor/supplier environment, and not within the end user’s environment. Working closely with the Project Team to ensure a clear and consistent approach to all work carried out. Management of change - cost variation and schedule. Ensure standard project control management is adopted for the project, monitoring KPI's and compliance of procedures. Set and manage achievable goals and targets for the site team. Ensure project personnel in the team are competent. Although SC/DV clearance would be an advantage, the client can arrange for the necessary clearance. Extensive experience, including a track record of delivering similar highly regulated type projects or complex projects (Defence, Nuclear, Water and Petro Chem etc). Must have good Commercial and Contractual knowledge. QUALIFICATIONS: HNC/HND/ BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering-Desirable.
