Overview
gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for 2 x seamstresses to work for a bespoke manufacturing company based in Newton Abbot. As a seamstress, you will be joining a team of 12 to form part of the production team to manufacture an exclusive range of seating products and related accessories. You will produce all seating products and accessories in line with bespoke designs and specification as per each customer request. As part of the production and manufacturing team it is essential that you are able to demonstrate the following: Good Manual Dexterity and attention to detail Previous Experience with Production Sewing Experience using a flatbed sewing machine Previous Manufacturing background skills (desirable) Ability to work on own or as part of a team. Good Initiative to ask questions or seek support to follow work instructions in the correct manner. Working to specific company Standard Operating Procedures In return, you will be provided with extensive training and an opportunity for you to develop and learn new skills as your role progresses. The site is able to offer a degree of flexibility with working hours: F/T – Monday to Thursday, 7.30am – 4.30pm. Friday 7.30am – 1.15pm P/T – Monday to Thursday, 9am – 3pm or 4pm.
