Overview

First Call Contract Services Ltd are looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to work in their busy site based in Corby. This position is a full time permanent position offered by the company and they are looking at someone happy to work either 4 on 4 off shift pattern or weekdays, but would include days and nights to work. Own transport would be essential for the role Below are the main points about the position Job Purpose To ensure that the factory is following procedures in place and that the quality standard of goods produced meet customer expectations. Main Responsibilities 1. Checking finished goods meet quality standards 2. Carrying out on line checks in all production areas, reporting any non-conformity to production and QM. 3. Ensuring operators are completing their paperwork and checks correctly 4. Ensuring that all goods and materials are correctly identified at all stages 5. Helping QC team with customer return inspections 6. Carrying out routing material testing including tensile and dart 7. Updating production records for specific customers 8. Completing test reports and documentation 9. To be proactive in organising own workload and having a self-motivated attitude towards departmental workload. Key Contacts/Relationships Quality Assurance Manager for process issues, work load and direct reporting Production Manager regarding issues found in production Working with factory employees Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed for the Job Ability to use a tape measure and micrometre accurately Training will be provided on use of Testing machines, i.e. tensile and dart Basic math skills Ability to read written instructions in English, ideally Entry Level 2 or above Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, excel; word and outlook Strong organisational and time management skills Positive attitude and flexible approach Good team player Job Context and any other relevant information You will be working in factory environment and quality laboratory, using PC and test equipment Mix of day and night shift 1 hour breaks per shift Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Experience: Quality Control: 1 year (Preferred) If this sounds like you apply today
