Overview
CNC Miller Full Time, Permanent 40 Hours Per Week (Optional overtime during busy periods) Paid weekly Mon - Thur 08:00 - 16:45 & Fri 06:00 - 1PM Summary BPS World is partnering with an industry leading supplier of precision machined parts and gear technology for aerospace and defence sectors. They have been manufacturing gears for over 40 years and have just under 100 employees across 8 locations in the UK. They look to continually invest in cutting edge technology and technician training. This allows them to improve the service to customers through better quality products and shorter time to delivery. Their head office in Aldershot, is a purpose built manufacturing factory. With a further seven facilities nearby to the Head Office - each offering manufacturing and Quality Assurance Support The Role; Setting and operating a variety of CNC milling machines, producing components to tight tolerances, whilst maintaining high-quality and health and safety at all times. This involves; Interpretation and working from detailed technical drawings/specifications and customer samples. Setting and operating the range of milling machinery predominantly with fanuc controls Creating programs directly on the machine, working from engineering drawings. Uploading and editing to the machines using Fanuc controls. Liaise with the Team Leader on drawings and job cards. Requirements; Familiar with CNC programming. Ideally CNC machining experience of using Mazak or Bridgeport machines (Not essential) Competency of using all forms of measuring equipment and gauging techniques. Ability to inspect own work to assess quality and faults in design/product. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision.
