CNC Machinist

As a CNC Machinist you will be focused on operating the CNC Milling Huron/Correa machines which would encompass maching a wide range of material and component types, working to engineering drawings and CNC programming of parts. The successful candidate will be based out of our office in Havant, Hampshire UK and will work on the day shift. What are your main tasks and responsibilities? * Machining of parts on CNC Miling Machining Centre * Working with Castings and various metals * CNC Programming of parts including program generation, editing and prove outs * Reading and understanding engineering drawings and instructions * Use of hand and power tools,overhead cranes andmeasuring equipment. * Taking and recording quality measurements. * Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. * Taking part in team and individual based improvement activities. What do we expect from you? * A HND/HNC Apprenticeship served qualification within mechanical engineering is advantageous. * Strong background within a production environment with experience of turning and milling techniques. * Ability to read and work from engineering drawings. * Clear communicator. * Sound knowledge of the Marine industry is desired. * Fluent in English, verbal and written. * Driver's Licence is required and ForkliftCounter Balance/Reach is desirable * The successful candidate must be eligible to undergo base line security clearance. Please note: day shift hours areMon 06:30 to 14:30, Tues - Thurs 07:15 to 14:30, Fri 07:15 - 12:30.
