Overview
Mechanical Opportunity Your new company Hays are seeking an experienced Supervisor with a Mechanical Bias for HMP Bullingdon. You will be responsible for leading and managing the shift to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance is a Ministry of Justice owned non -profit making company who supply facilities management services to c50 prisons over the South of the UK. Most of the works we undertake are within controlled areas and support the safe operation of the prisons. Your new role You will need NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years' experience preferably within an FM environment. You will need excellent organisational, time management and people skills, and are looking for a new challenge.As a successful candidate you'll be able to demonstrate that you are a hands-on supervisor with excellent customer relationship skills. You will have experience of working on commercial or industrial heating, water or building services systems. You will be familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements. You will have a good knowledge of health and safety requirements.Hays are looking for an individual who has a proven track record of working within an FM environment, preferably within a secure environment / military / health sector or similar sector. Having completed a recognised apprenticeship in a facilities / building services trade, or have two years of recognised experience and specialist skills as a supervisor in the facilities sector. Alongside this experience the successful individual should have a knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable planning and project management skills. What you'll need to succeed You will need NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years' experience preferably within an FM environment Successful applicants will need to confirm their employment history for at least 5 years prior to the date of application so that pre-employment checks can be undertaken. If you have spent significant time abroad (a total of 6 months in the past 5 years) you would be required to give a reasonable account of the reasons why. You will require you to successfully complete National Security Vetting of different levels, this might be Disclosure & Baring Service (DBS), Enhance Level, Exclusion List Check (ELC) or Counter Terrorism (CTC), checks will vary as a condition of appointment.
