PRINCIPLE SOFTWARE ENGINEER £70,000-85,000 COMPETITIVE BENEFITS CENTRAL LONDON Are you looking for an opportunity to join one of the UK's most renowned banks as a Principle Engineer, where you will be working with a cutting-edge tech stack as part of a talented agile team? THE COMPANY: Our client is a very well-known bank which serves around 20 million people currently. They are looking for an experienced Java engineer to come in and work to build out their software applications. THE ROLE: You will be driving development of innovative software and tools which will be used by millions of users by working closely with stakeholders across the business to transfer requirements into designs. You will be technically leading the team and playing a key role in planning, designing and deploying high performance and resilient systems for the business. Alongside this you will be involved in driving the involvement in internal and industry events throughout your team. In specific, you can expect to be involved in the following: Designing and developing highly used API based applications using a range of Java frameworks and technologies which will be hosted on AWS. Ensuring best practices are followed and that your work is built on a solid, well thought out architecture. Working with stakeholders and the rest of the team to ensure deadlines are reached and the product reaches all business requirements. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The successful Principle Engineer will have the following skills and experience: Proven experience developing high volume applications using Java. Significant experience developing software within a Microservices or SOA paradigm. Have experience deploying Java services onto AWS and AWS infrastructure configuration. Technical leadership experience for a small to mid sized team as a minimum. Working knowledge of Agile, Devops and CI/CD methodologies. THE BENEFITS: Competitive benefits available.
