Role Responsibilities Set high standards of professional practice in line with the NMC guidelines and create a caring environment conducive to the individual physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual need of each Resident. Responsible for, and write within correct time frames within the correct computerised format within the Home, comprehensive and appropriate Care/Support Plans/ Carer Plans catering for the emotional, psychological, spiritual, physical and material needs of each individual involved and to review these monthly or if care Needs change, and to ensure that they fully understand the importance of this. Accept responsibility in a professional manner and act in a professional way according to her professional accountability. Must be forward thinking, anticipating events happening at all times as much as possible Be fully aware of The Home Policies and Procedures and to adhere to them at all times and to sign the document to confirm understanding on a regular basis. Ensure that all responsibilities have been carried out prior to ending a shift of work and that issues have been clearly logged on the computer and relevant documentation The nurse must know how to access up to date information regarding the role, and keeping themselves up to date and the importance of undertaking training as required. Required to take responsibility (individually or jointly with the Manager of the Home) to secure, sustain and promote the reputation of the Home for the benefit of the Residents.
