Overview

A talented Paralegal, Legal Assistant or Legal Executive with good legal experience gained in Private Client / Private Wealth is now required by our progressive legal client in the New Forest. If you are looking to further your career within a dynamic law firm, then this could be an excellent career move in 2020. The role will be based within their specialist Private Client/ Private Wealth department dealing with a range of specialist legal areas including Trusts, Tax, Probate, Court of Protection, Deputyship, LPA's, Wills and IHT particularly relating to rural, agricultural and countryside estates. Suitable candidates must have a minimum of two to four years experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or Legal Executive within a UK law firm and will be confident in handling their own Private Client files and working with modest supervision. The role will involve: Administrative tasks relating to cases Working closely with other fee-earners, researching and analysing data Opening files and preparing case notes Report writing Drafting documents Client liaison and communication in person, by email and on the phone Taking ownership of cases and working with minimal supervision Court work where appropriate Networking & Marketing activities to develop new work Skills required: A strong general legal background Knowledge of Trusts, Tax & Wealth Planning particularly relating to Rural Estates Drafting skills Passionate and enthusiastic to progress their legal career Good IT skills including Word and Excel Excellent communication and client handling skills Highly organised and efficient An effective team player Strong time management skills Good academic record including a Law Degree and/or LPC qualification or ILEx, part or fully qualified A professional approach when dealing colleagues and clients alike. Previous experience gained within Private Client and interest in Countryside matters would be an advantage.
