Overview

About Ego Ego are a family of Mediterranean inspired Pubs & Restaurants across the UK. We serve fantastic quality Mediterranean food, delivering great value and personable service in a mixture of city centre restaurants, community focused pubs and destination suburban pubs. Every Ego restaurant or pub has its own individual character and style. Our team are entrepreneurial in spirit and individual in our actions. We behave like an independent with the ‘power’ and ‘opportunities’ of a fast-growing brand. At the core of our business is our focus on people and development. We are proud to be officially recognised as one of the Top Employers in the hospitality sector with a staff retention figure way beyond that of the industry average. Both our people and our venues are warm, upbeat, personable and generous. A great Deputy Manager needs to have excellent initiative, with a focus on driving sales as well as a good understanding of budgets and financials to maximise profit within the restaurant. We will need you to live and breathe our culture of eating out in a Mediterranean style, and be able to cope with a demanding environment whilst keeping calm and being a fast reacting, problem solver. The Deputy Manager position at Ego is a stepping stone into a General Manager role, as a quickly expanding business we require senior managers that are ready to step up and take over a restaurant. You must show all the key competencies of a General Manager and be able to take over a team without disrupting general operations and be able to put your own positive imprint on proceedings.
