Electrical Engineer - Team Lead Do you have an Electrical/Instrumentation engineering background with Team Lead role experience? Does it motivate you to be responsible for the execution of projects? Semco Maritime is looking for an experienced lead electrical /instrument engineer mainly based in our Aberdeen office, which will also include visits to other locations/offshore including assignments to our Head Office in Esbjerg. Key responsibilities and tasks You will be the focal point towards our customer. The role requires that you ensure good management of the project with delivery on time, on budget and in the right quality and executed safely according HSE&Q policies. The tasks include Overall management of the E&I engineering team Design and execution of both single and multi-discipline projects (site surveys, estimates/quoting, all aspects with in electrical and instrumentation project) Organise and perform day-to-day management of the project (planning, budgets, quality, resources) Coordinate other members of the Engineering Team Who we are looking for Wind or oil and gas experience, preferably from an offshore background. You have a relevant professional background (degree qualified in relevant Engineering, although other experience and qualifications will be considered). We expect the ideal candidate to have the following qualities and skills: Management and leadership experience Proactive and practical approach to work Experience with small and medium installation projects Good communication skills Fluent in English Give technical guidance to others, as required. Coordinate multiple projects at the same time on own and as part of a larger multi-disciplined team Performance Management of productivity and finance. Must work in line with the Company’s Quality Assurance Procedures. Must work in line with the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and policies at all times. Ensure highest levels of client service delivery at all times Carry out SAT & FATs Maintain and update Project & Time management package (IFS) Develop existing client base, in terms of direct contacts and also the Company’s product range. Take ownership of technical queries to ensure resolution to the satisfaction of the Project Manager. Taking a "new way of thinking" approach to problem solving. Including the ability to “think outside of the box” to go beyond the conventional and a willingness to try out different solutions. Safety has a high priority and you work proactively to reduce risks and irregularities to ensure the safety of yourself and others. Actively work with management and others to look for opportunities to improve the Company’s best practices. You are mobile and willing to travel both nationally and internationally.
