Overview
Due to continued growth within CGC & Dimension Ltd, we are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our busy Procurement Department at our Head Office based in Linwood. This role will require the successful candidate to be actively involved on a daily basis across all the divisions that make up the CGC Group of companies. Duties will include: Taking telephone orders from site(s) and transferring them onto the computerised ordering system. Obtaining quotations from suppliers to ensure best value for money Updating plant hire records and producing live hire reports for the contracts team Assisting the estimating department at tender stage Maintaining supplier database and price lists The ideal candidate will be: computer literate, have strong communications skills, good tenure, and have the ability to be able to work to tight deadlines.
