Quantity Surveyor

Deeside Timberframe, based at Stonehaven, are seeking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor for the “Supply and Erect” section of their organisation. The Company Deeside Timberframe were founded in 1985 and are one of the foremost Timber Frame design, manufacture and installation companies in the UK. They are consistently praised for the quality of their work by housing associations, construction firms, local, regional and national house builders as well as self-build customers. The Role Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out and managing all quantity surveying matters and dealing with all contract issues of a commercial nature. They will effectively manage costs for the contract, and ensure targets are met by managing and controlling the budget and valuations, including monthly updating of the estimated final costs and value reconciliation. Other duties include compiling and agreeing final accounts with main contractors and subcontractors and assisting the Financial Director with debt recovery issues. Background and experience Applicants will have a working knowledge of Main Contract terms and conditions, be proficient in MS Office, be able to work to tight deadlines, have excellent communication skills and be flexible in their approach.
