Your team We are looking for a Graduate Software Developer to join us where you will be part of a dynamic and agile team of Software Engineers and Business Analysts spread across development centres in Edinburgh, Zurich and Manila. You will follow an agile process, working closely with the Product Owner and Business Analysts to develop new product features and maintain existing ones in live use. As a member of a team with a strong offering for backend solutions (PL/SQL) that is growing into a full-stack team using Java, Docker, Kubernetes (and more) to implement microservices and REST APIs, you will have the opportunity to be part of many different and challenging projects. During your journey with us you will gain in-depth knowledge of the world of Payments, Direct Debits, Card Transactions, Cheque Processing, Payment Messaging Interfaces, Collective Orders, Settlements and Reconciliation. You will gain a deep understanding of the design and implementation of large-scale database applications as well as the chance to shape the future of banking in developing cutting-edge microservices with us. What you will do Developing in PL/SQL for the backend Programming for Microservices Taking ownership of specialised payments modules Debugging complex code you might have never seen before Solving problems in close collaboration with business analysts and other developers Documenting solutions together with the team’s technical writer Working on the design of new features as discussed with the architect Performing code reviews of changes to the modules you are responsible for What we are looking for Degree-qualification in a technical-related subject Some experience in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL (or similar), Java would be a benefit Motivation to constantly improve and learn new skills The confidence to ask for advice and help from your colleagues Passion for software development and an interest in the payment industry What we will offer you With our compensation model, we want to share the success of the company with all our employees.
