Overview

Our Central Government client are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect (DV Cleared), working on an AWS Project. Summary of the work Design, build and support a platform for data scientists to query our client's data. Technical input to project planning. Document architectural designs Produce infrastructure as code. Develop automated mechanisms for deploying infrastructure and application changes. Provide ongoing skills transfer to staff. Lead the engagement with external ITHC supplier Who you will work with The existing team is made up of a number of engineers & architects covering the full spectrum of big data, cloud infrastructure, security architecture, and business analysis. You'll also be expected to engage with other teams within the organisation; UCFS for systems integration Design Authority for design sign-off SRE for acceptance into service Stakeholder teams, e.g. data analysts & scientists You'll also be expected to engage with 3rd party suppliers and auditors (e.g. IT Health Check teams) What you will work on Data ingestion from current service and surfacing of data to the users of the new AWS Data Platform. Key skills and experience Demonstrate extensive knowledge of working with the AWS cloud platform within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage any cloud infrastructure using terraform within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using Git and GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket within the last 2 years Demonstrate knowledge of test and behaviour driven development (TDD and BDD) within the last 2 years Demonstrate extensive knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using ConcourseCI to provide continuous integration and continuous deployment within the last 2 years Demonstrate extensive knowledge of AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using AWS CloudWatch within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using AWS Simple Storage Service (S3) within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using AWS Key Management Service (KMS) within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using AWS Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) within the last 2 years Demonstrate knowledge of AWS networking concepts within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of developing in Python within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using Docker within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of analysing and solving complex infrastructure & application issues within the last 2 years Demonstrate having been involved with or led on an ITHC engagement within the last 2 years Demonstrate a solid understanding of securely handling sensitive data within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of big data; formats, manipulation/conversion, querying, tools etc within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of consuming Apache Kafka data feeds within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of developing in Go, Java or Node.js within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using AWS Lambda within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using AWS Elastic MapReduce (EMR) within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using AWS Cloud Hardware Security Module (CloudHSM) within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using AWS Cognito within the last 2 years Demonstrate experience of using AWS Workspaces within the last 2 years Senior Cloud Architect (DV Cleared), Architect, Cloud, AWS, Amazon Web Services, Cloud, Java, Node.js, Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, ConcourseCI, Python, Docker, Apache Kafka, ITHC, TDD, BDD, Cloud, Terraform, Public Sector, DV Clearance, DV Cleared, Development Vetted, Develop Vetted This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89674232
