Overview
Excellent opportunity for a talented accounts assistant to make a contribution to the success of an ambitious organization that is really going places The Company Evapo is a multi-channel high street retailer in the new, fast-growing vape industry. We have 38 stores in the UK and are continuing to open new ones. At a time when retail is struggling, we continue to grow The Job Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will provide general assistance with the management accounting of a group company and be fully accountable for the whole purchase ledger process of Evapo. From purchase orders to invoices and statements, you will be providing an important service to - and playing your part in - the finance team, their processes and systems. Key responsibilities will include: Matching, checking and coding invoices Setting up payments via BACS and online banking systems Processing staff expenses Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details Reconciliation of supplier statements Filing invoices Data entry Acting as the first point of contact for all relevant enquiries Other general accounting duties Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers Reviewing systems and processes and suggesting improvements where necessary. The Person The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of management accounting tasks; proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; and knowledge of accounting packages such as Xero, Sage, and BACS. You will also possess the following skills and personal qualities: Excellent communication skills Solid team working skills Self-discipline and efficiency A flexible and proactive approach to work Ability to work to deadlines.
