Lead Engineer - Electric Vehicle Powertrain Design - UK Senior/ Lead / Principle Engineer - Controls / Mechatronics/ Electromechanical Complete design and analysis of Mechatronic / electromechanical powertrain/ transmission systems for Electric Vehicles. OEMs & Tier 1 Automotive EV. Play leading role in a team delivering game changing electro-mechanical drive solutions - EV. Specialising in electrification, including design of powertrain, transmission, electromechanical system integration and control, functional safety and Actuation systems These groundbreaking new software & engineering design tools are being adopted by leading OEMs in Automotive, Rail & Renewable Energy worldwide. Role Design and lead team developing a new Mechatronic or electromechanical powertrain/ automated transmission systems for Electric Vehicles - Automotive OEM & Tier 1 EV design of powertrain, transmission, electromechanical system integration and control Functional safety Technical Lead /Senior/ Principle Engineer role Full project schedule ownership from design, creation to delivery Working with clients and suppliers Project Delivery within Systems Engineering Actuation systems Essential Experience Required Controls engineering experience in tech environment Experience of control systems design BEng / Meng Engineering - Mechanical , Mechatronic or electromechanical. Or Electrical, Electronic, Automotive or similar. Electric vehicle design Engineering Actuation Systems Advantage: Matlab/ Simulink HiL Transmission / gearbox/ drivetrain / Actuation systems for EV Systems engineering Functional Safety ISO26262 Ideally Chartered Electric Vehicles/ Hybrid/ HEV/ EV experience Actuation systems: AMT, AT, DCT Please note that this Role is only for Electrical, Mechanical or Electromechanical Design Engineers With experience in EV/ Hybrid vehicles.
