Overview

Our client are a large corporate organisation within the UK Water sector. They are looking for a commercial and driven Delivery Manager to provide MEICA and Civil Engineering construction solutions across the Process and Network functions. This will be working on Clean and Waste Water assets. This is a permanent, staff position based in South East London. Key tasks and responsibilities: Provide management for up to 12 staff and all stakeholder interfaces internally and externally Provide management of the procurement process, framework suppliers and of the sub-contractor supply chain Be involved in the delivery of site-based construction activities Be responsible for resource management and for training/development of directly managed staff Provide estimating, programming and planning support Provide timely and accurate financial reporting Ensure the delivery of all construction projects on the program 100% compliance to client specifications Manage direct and indirect labour requirements Lead, motivate and develop teams, setting and monitoring objectives and holding performance reviews Manage clients site requirements ensuring minimal impact on site functionality Deliver all projects within legislative, CDM and regulatory requirements, including H&S, environmental and HR Key requirements and qualifications: Financially and commercially astute, aptitude for identifying and managing risk Computer literate with a logical and methodical way of thinking Confident and effective communicator at all levels including key stakeholders Experience within a commercial and technical role Preferably educated to degree/HND level in Engineering/Business Administration Ideally post qualification experience Basic understanding of Civil Engineering works, contract law, planning, estimating and tendering is required Ideally a proven track record of project management in an engineering environment Good working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and ICA systems of work Package and Benefits: Exposure to numerous aspects of the business including senior stakeholder engagement and major construction projects Opportunity to apply attributes to a front line management role within operations Opportunity to make improvements whilst offering advice and support Excellent contributory pension 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service A wider benefits scheme (annual pay review, season ticket loans, voucher scheme for major retail outlets and much more) To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK without Visa restrictions.
