Salary: Competitive Opening date: 5 March 2020 Closing date: 3 April 2020 Callsign are looking for an experienced Senior Group Technical Accountant (US GAAP) and Group Tax Manager to join an expanding finance team based in central London. If so, this is the role for you The salary range/rate of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training Requirements Technical Accounting duties: • Year-end accounts preparation under US GAAP, IFRS and UK GAAP and technical accounting papers. Preparation of financial disclosure notes, including tax disclosures • Preparation and maintenance of group accounting policies under US GAAP. Interpretation and implementation new US GAAP developments and standards and communication with CFO and board on relevant policy changes. Analysis and modelling the impact of technical accounting changes on Callsign • Design and implement Group's financial reporting processes and internal controls • Advising on technical accounting matters and document accounting policies memo for complex transactions and customer contracts • Plan and manage the year-end audit with the auditors and take a lead on dealing with queries from the auditors • Maintain relationships with the auditors • Provide internal and ad-hoc training on new technical developments and standards Tax duties: • Facilitate and manage the preparation and review tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms in the UK and the US, including corporation tax, VAT, and PAYE • Preparation of corporation tax returns in the UK and the US • Plan for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with tax team and external tax advisors • Design and maintain effective internal controls around all aspects of the tax process • Lead global tax strategy, control and compliance workstreams and manage interface with external tax advisors in the UK and the US • Maintain relationships with tax advisors in the UK and the US • Lead the preparation of R&D tax credit and manage interface with external tax advisors and HMRC Other duties: • Actively contribute to the delivery of finance change projects, including changes in financial accounting systems and potential future M&A projects • Manage and contribute to the development of more junior finance team members • Production of sections of the Board and Group Executive Committee reporting as directed by the CFO • Project manage the set up of new subsidiaries as the company expands • Skills, qualifications and experience required • 8 years’ experience in similar roles in a SaaS startup environment and from a Big4 accounting firm • Chartered accountant qualification with extensive working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and UK GAAP • Extensive working knowledge and experience in corporate tax accounting in the UK and the US • Experience of statutory accounts production and managing financial and tax audits • Experience of building and managing a team • Audit experience • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills • Hands-on and can-do attitude with attention to detail • Organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions • Ability to work well in high pressure situations to meet deadlines • High energy, high ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving results Benefits Automatic Option: • Health Insurance – single • Life Insurance • Employee Assistance Program • 3 months full pay maternity & 2 weeks full pay paternity (if the statutory minimum is met) • 25 days of annual leave Callsign Bank Holiday (not included in holiday allowance) • Free Financial Advice Optional: • Cycle to work scheme • Wills and Estates – our benefits provider has partnered with a third party who offers a discount • Home Utilities our benefits provider has partnered with a third party who offers a discount • Cycle Insurance • Health cash plans • Cyclist protection • Discounted gym membership This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89778254
