Overview
The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen within a leading international defence company, for a Stevenage based, highly motivated individual to lead a multi-skilled security team covering a dynamic and evolving site. As an experienced security professional you will manage a team of motivated security officers, delivering security support across all aspects of physical and personnel security to the various teams and projects located at the site. What are we looking for? A professional qualification in either security or a related area. You will have experience of managing a team, working within defence or other government regulated industry environments. You will have an understanding of the application of security risk management. You will have good communications skills, with the ability to translate security information into a focused brief, in either presentational or written formats. What’s in it for you? The Role A varied and dynamic role, working as part of a progressive security operations environment, will see the successful candidate applying security and risk management techniques, to meet the various security requirements of both the project teams and site, as well as promoting a secure modern working environment. They will also act as the operational lead for the delivery of all manned security functions on site in accordance with governmental and MOD security regulations. The successful candidate will also act as a focal point for security investigations within the site, liaising with law enforcement, MOD and other government departments as required. Please Note : MBDA UK requires all employees to achieve and maintain SC security clearance or above without restrictions that will inhibit the individual’s ability to fulfil the requirements of the role. Your eligibility for the appropriate level of security clearance may be discussed with you during the recruitment process. Any existing clearance holders may be able to transfer clearance (subject to approval).
