Would you like to be part of GSK's emerging clinical leadership, with an opportunity to lead global team of clinical development managers to deliver the Synthetic Lethality and Cancer Epigenetics portfolio (both at a study and program level) ? As our Senior Director, Global Clinical Sciences & Delivery, Oncology Synthetic Lethality and Cancer Genetics, you will be accountable for setting the global strategy for all clinical operations activities within the synthetic lethality and cancer epigenics portfolio. You will provide leadership, oversight, development, direction, and coordination of study activities. This is a key position that provides direction for management of cross-functional interfaces across Clinical Operations, the Oncology Therapeutic area, and Platform Technology & Sciences (PTS). This role will gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following... * Lead a global team of >20 clinical development managers to provide leadership and overall delivery of the clinical portfolio * Partner with key Oncology stakeholders to shape the vision and resourcing strategy to support the e2e clinical portfolio * Manage, coach and oversee project team members who are accountable for the delivery of clinical development programs working with the PPL, MDL / PL and project team. * Shape the resourcing strategy for the group working across Clinical Operations, to meet program deliverables and timelines and changing workloads * Identification and sharing of best practices and oversees the implementation of these into business processes * Actively participates in the Oncology operations meetings to influence the strategic direction of drug development within the Oncology unit and to deliver the global strategy for study execution * Controls and manages the internal budget for US and EU staff as well as the external project expenditure budget required to delivery the portfolio * Sets the broader resourcing strategy (internal vs FSO vs FSP) for clinical study delivery in collaboration with other functional heads * Maintains overall accountability for ensuring delivery to plan and to budget for the defined portfolio * Partners with the relevant functional head in the Clinical Operations Group to share relevant portfolio information and establish optimal ways of working and to ensure excellence with respect to study start up, database lock etc * Tracks key performance metrics that can be shared as part of the monthly (and annual) governance reviews. * Drives continuous improvement in ways of working Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: * Bachelors Degree * 10 years experience in Drug Development * 5 or more years Oncology experience Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: * Masters or PHD * Experience leading global teams * Experience with platform trials, combination studies, and making dose escalation decisions * Experience leading complex portfolios Why GSK?
