Overview

Hardware Manager Rate: Negotiable Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire Duration: 6 months A leading aerospace & defence organisation is looking to add an experienced Hardware manager / Engineer to the team in Stevenage. This is an opportunity within the Architecture team for the successful candidate to manager the Hardware Delivery for a development programme. The successful Hardware Manager / Hardware Engineer will have the following responsibilities: Working to strict deadlines Producing professional and concise documentation Capturing and collating the needs for development hardware at systems-level Generate and manage hardware list (& configuration notes) Ensure that all H/W needs are provided to the RMOs to load onto the RPSS/ sub-contractors Incrementally populating the H/W spreadsheet with applicable configuration data Securing and managing 'predicted' dates from RMOs Providing aforementioned dates to the project management team and participating within Critical Path analysis (CPA) Ensuring that manufacturing (including MLU/ IGP etc.) have oversight of the complete manufacturing program during development The successful Hardware manager / Hardware Engineer should have the following skills & attributes: Proven ability of w Primavera P6 (Inc. Work package management training) Proven ability of MS office (Inc. Excel, PowerPoint, & word) Proven understanding of weapon sub- system and equiptment assembly ADDITIONAL Occasional travel to the north.
