Accounts Assistant - Modern & technology driven accountancy firm - Up to £24,000 (DOE) - Manchester Your new firm An established, highly modern and technology driven accountancy practice are seeking an accounts assistant to join their friendly and passionate office in Manchester city centre. The firm's client base are solely digital creative agencies and they thrive off delivering a professional and personable service that enables their client's business to grow. This would be a great opportunity as the firm are continuously creating a great place to work and have experienced sustained growth since they started. Your new role In this Manchester based accounts assistant role you will be required to work closely with the firm's digital creative agencies client base. The role will see you undertake bank reconciliations, prepare and submit VAT returns as well as maintain the sales and purchase ledgers for the client whilst bringing the accounts to trial balance. You will be required to liaise with the clients on a daily basis via email and telephone and occasionally face to face in order to ensure all necessary documentation is provided. The firm have excellent relationships with their clients and you will need to ensure you maintain these relationships. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this Manchester based accounts assistant job you will need to have worked in an accountancy practice setting previously or dealt with multiple clients. You will need to be able to work to strict deadlines, be self-motivated and have a good attention to detail. On top of this you should have good Microsoft excel skills, be personable, passionate and be able to work individually or as part of a team. The firm heavily use Xero so any exposure with this software would be beneficial, however training will be provided.
