HR Generalist Coventry £30,000 If you are interested in getting involved in a wide range of HR Duties, working closely with the HR Manager to support a small manufacturing workforce, then keep reading… Macildowie HR are collaborating with a manufacturing company within Coventry to help add to their HR team. The exciting part of this role is the aspect of Health and Safety and being able to impact the wellbeing on employees. The Role: Reporting into the HR Manager you will assist with the day to day running of the HR function , working to improve effectiveness across the business. You will be able to take responsibility and ownership of your workload. The emphasis on Health and Safety will help ensure complete compliance on training, risk assessments and all testing records are up to date. Creating new initiatives and projects to help improve the wellbeing and engagement of staff members, if you have any great ideas then definitely bring these into the role You will be involved in the end-to-end recruitment of a variety of staff members, writing job descriptions and adverts, CV screening, assisting in coordinating interviews, then sending out offer letters and contracts and updating the systems with change of details. This begins the employee lifecycle, from starting with recruitment and onboarding to then supporting in any Employee Relations cases when needed and then dealing with leavers on the system. Reviews of the policies and procedures to continue to maximise efficiency is an ongoing project you can get involved in, making sure you are up to date with employment law and current events to feed back into the HR function. Any other duties to support the HR Manager and HR administration will fall under your remit. The Perfect Candidate: To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of CIPD 3 and three years' experience in a generalist HR role. Having a background in Health and Safety would be preferable, as would having experience in a manufacturing environment. The HR Manager is looking for someone who can get stuck into the busy environment and isn't afraid of taking initiative to get new ideas and work off the ground. You must be able to communicate with a range of key stakeholders and employees, ranging from General Managers to factory staff.
