Overview

Mental Health Administrator: We are currently recruiting for a Mental Health Administrator on behalf of our client based in the Derby area. Details: ·Pay rate: £11ph ·Start Date: Immediate ·Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm ·Location: Derby ·Duration: Temporary ongoing Role of a Mental Health Administrator: ·To respond to contacts from clients and others enquiring about the company services in accordance with guidance, policies and procedures ·To obtain sufficient information to triage referrals against eligibility criteria and referral and prioritisation policies ·To assist referrers in completing any necessary paperwork or referral forms ·To provide low level advocacy support by telephone or email. This may include contacting other professionals on behalf of the person, writing a letter, providing information or signposting, referring on to an appropriate advocate where necessary ·To keep accurate and up to date electronic case records on our case management system including details of all client contact, upload relevant reports and documents and accurately record time spent on each action ·To ensure accurate and timely communication of messages ·To carry out administrative tasks to support advocates and managers as required. This may include but is not limited to arranging appointments, taking minutes, room bookings or scanning and uploading of documents and reports ·To be responsible for dealing with correspondence and administration with minimum supervision ·To liaise and communicate effectively with a range of clients, health and social care personnel and the general public ·To identify any conflicts of interest associated with cases and help ensure they are appropriately managed As a Mental Health Administrator you'll need to have/be: ·Must have an enhanced DBS (essential) ·Experience in a helpline, advice and guidance or similar role ·Experience of communicating with a range of vulnerable people including people with Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Older People, mental ill health, Asperger and/or Autism. ·Knowledge of legislation relevant to specialist advocacy - Mental Health Act, Care Act, Mental Capacity Act ·Excellent communication skills both written and oral ·IT literate, confident and able to use email, outlook, internet, databases & Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Publisher, PowerPoint & Excel ·Ability to communicate and show empathy to people who have differing support needs and may be distressed ·Able to engage with, communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships with a range of individuals/organisations ·Ability to deal with sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality both in and out of the workplace ·Ability to produce records and case notes to a high professional standard and to tight deadlines ·Able to work independently using own initiative, effectively responding to enquiries and referrals with minimal supervision ·Able to prioritise & manage a demanding workload and work to tight deadlines, proactively managing waiting lists where necessary Benefits: ·28 Holidays per year ·Weekly Pay ·Pension Scheme ·Employed Status ·Personal Accident Insurance ·Mortgage references ·My Extra Rewards - An online portal offering vouchers and discounts If you are interested in the above role please click apply Extra Personnel Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
