Overview

Jark Bradford Technical & Engineering division are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Bradford for a CNC Laser Operator, This position is on a temp to perm basis and they are looking for someone with experience working on a CNC Laser and who is open to working shifts as they are working towards a shift system (6-2, 2-10) later in the year, Duties of the role; - Prepare and operate laser machines to cut a variety of metals - Ability to read and interpret engineering/CAD drawings as well as working alongside programmers to determine the best practice for each job - Prepare and load sheet metals onto the machines, ensuring material is checked for size, thickness and grade, prior to cutting - Manage the use of offcuts effectively/log all offcuts on the office stock sheet - Set machines to complete full cycles with multiple tool changes - Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to ensure that each job is finished to the highest standards - Inspect finished products thoroughly/compare against drawings and ensure that all components are correct before passing onto fabrication/dispatch - Check and maintain machinery to ensure functionality and report any issues to management immediately - Work within given timescales to maintain production output - Ensure that all paperwork for each job is legible/completed in full and passed onto the relevant department upon completion - Ensure all Health & Safety rules/standards are adhered to – including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment. Working hours Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm, 39 hours per week Pay rate is dependent on experience £9 - £11.50/h This position is being advertised on behalf of Jark Bradford Ltd Technical and Engineering Division who operate as an employment business.
