Lead vital electrical installations around the world This role offers a truly global platform for your technical and leadership skills. Working across the UK and in overseas missions worldwide, you’ll play a key role in the design, planning and delivery of electrical installations including LV distribution, small power, lighting, containment systems, fire alarms and air conditioning systems. This involves leading and managing multi-skilled teams on a rich variety of projects - everything from new builds to office refurbishments and from upgrade works to maintenance. While you’re in the UK, you’ll focus on preparatory work, including supplier liaison, procurement of materials and tooling. The rest of the time, you will be travelling around the world, typically for periods of 1 to 8 weeks, to work on installation assignments overseas. Apply your knowledge and expertise where it really counts We’re looking for an expert in electrical installation - with the qualifications and professional track record to match. An IET-recognised qualification to BTEC (ONC)/AM2 (or equivalent) is essential, as are City & Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection (or equivalent) and working knowledge of BS 7671: 2018. You’ll also need to have completed a recognised apprenticeship and be an ECS card holder (or equivalent). On top of all that, you’ll have substantial experience in electrical installation and will be able to point to various practical instances where you have applied your academic knowledge. You will also need experience of leading and task managing teams of up to five people.
