Overview
HV Design Engineer Senior & Junior - London The Company A successful contractor that specialises in the design, build and maintenance of De-Centralised Energy Centres and district heating throughout London. They have steadily expanded over the last 20 years and are currently working on a large number of London's Landmark residential projects with the UKs top Developers and Main Contractors. They have modern offices based in Central London which are easy to reach from all major train lines and London Underground. Job Description HV Design Engineers - Senior and Junior They have a solid in house design team but due to demand they are looking to expand with these two positions. The duties & responsibilities are outlined below but not limited to; Design of protection and control systems for electrical substations up to 330kV. Developing of detail construction design including exposed busbars, cables routes, units wring and interface diagrams, cables and multicore cables schedules etc., for HV substations. Transmission and distribution system analysis and protection studies of electrical power systems in industries using traditional methods for non-complex's tasks and for complex tasks using specialist software. Technical specification and procurement of equipment and materials for electrical HV substation. CDM and Health and Safety documentations, Method Statements and Risk Analysis for substations construction projects. Substation design assurance for third party designs. Degree qualified engineer. Transmission and distribution network protection training preferred Have good practical knowledge on HV-LV substation commissioning (UKPN). Earthing design experience preferred BS7671 IEE 17th and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations AutoCad and AutoCad Electrical experience Relay protection experience.
