General Manager £30,000 - £35,000 5 over 7 days per week Meal provided on shift Are you retail focused? Do you always ensure the highest levels of service is delivered to your customers? If your answer is yes then BaxterStorey has the role for you Our client is one of the largest online retailers in the world and has multiple sites across the UK. You will be based on a site that operates 24 hours a day and could feed anywhere up to 1500 people in a day. We’re looking for a General Manager who has a retail background with a passion for food, that thrives on getting the best out of people and maximising commercial opportunities, you draw satisfaction from managing, training and supporting your team. You provide a professional service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client/Customer expectations are met. Ensure that all services are provided to contract in a timely and professional manner and that the systems and procedures put in place are appropriate and workable 24/7. Ensure that the location achieves, as a minimum, the financial targets agreed with the client in line with the budget. Monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognise training needs and potential as appropriate. Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information. Work with your Operations Manager to prepare budgets; achieve and maintain the food cost in accordance with the budget. Develop and evolve all client’s services at location, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented. As the General Manager you will have a successful background in Retail or Catering , please note experience within the industry isn’t essential. Within your current role you take full ownership of the business you look after providing a focal point for both clients and customers alike, using your entrepreneurial skills to create a thriving and successful working environment. You possess excellent management and communication skills, be very process driven and able to demonstrate an understanding of report writing, financial management, and have an analytical approach to problem solving. You will have the ability to display a real passion for customer service and you strive to find resolutions to problems.
