Overview
A highly successful practice that focuses on the rapidly growing residential sector now seeks an Architectural Planning Technician to join their busy and expanding Camberley office. Established over 40 years ago, this award-winning practice has recently opened their 3rd office situated in Camberley. They have found great commercial success in largescale residential and retirement projects, and currently employ an award-winning team of architects, urban designers, technologists, graphic designers and sustainability consultants. Such awards include "Housing Design Award" and "Design Quality Award". Due to the growth of this new office and the practice's ongoing success, there is a requirement for an Architectural Planning Technician to join the organisation. Role & Responsibilities Working within a dedicated team, the role would involve producing detailed planning drawings for a number of large scale residential and retirement living projects Negotiating amendments to proposed plans Preparing, revising and analysing technical drawings Liaising with consultants and clients to formulate planning documents Reporting on the status and progress of multiple planning permission applications. Required Skills & Experience A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience Background in volume house-building or working with developers would be ideal Experience working on UK based residential projects Good knowledge of UK planning and building regulations Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple projects as required Demonstrable portfolio of hand drawing/sketching is a definite requirement Skilled in the use of AutoCAD, and Revit experience would be beneficial Strong graphic design and 3D modelling skills, particularly in SketchUp and Photoshop.
